EVALUATION OF ANTERIOR SEGMENT PARAMETERS IN PATIENTS WITH KERATOCONUS WITH PENTACAM DEVICE

OBJECTIVE: It was aimed to evaluate the changes observed in anterior segment parameters patients with keratoconus using Pentacam device according severity of disease and compare determined results those obtained from healthy individuals.MATERIAL AND METHODS: The data by for 104 eyes 52 120 60 individuals were retrospectively evaluated. Demographic features patients, corneal curvature posterior surface, asphericity elevation values (K1, K2, astigmatism, average asphericity), thinnest thickness (TCT), apex (ACT), volume (CV), chamber depth (ACD), angle (ACA), (ACV) outcomes recorded.RESULTS: age 30.8±11.6 years Keratoconus group (22 Female, 30 Male) 32.4±12.4 control (26 34 Male). groups compatible each other terms gender (p=0.32, p=0.89, respectively). In classification based on keratometry readings, level grouped as mild 63 eyes, medium 26 severe 15 eyes. there a significant difference curvature, asphericity, surfaces between (p<0.001). TCT highest lowest group, (p<0.05). ACD 3.21±0.34 3.27±0.26 3.79±0.53 also (p<0.05).CONCLUSIONS: Significant both cornea are progression keratoconus.
